Janneu Passow has years of experience working with children and families who have experienced trauma. She has provided services to families, men, women, children, and adolescence while working in a variety of positions including children’s mental health and child protection. Her work in child protection provided insight into the struggles families go through during some of the darkest moments in their lives, while still retaining the knowledge that healing is possible.
Whether clients are working through current or past struggles, Janneu aims to provide an environment conducive to healing and promoting the development of lifelong skills. This is accomplished by utilizing multiple modalities including, but not limited to, Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Interactive and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

Janneu believes in providing a safe space for clients to work through their struggles and part of this includes being aware of client diversity. Janneu studied in Germany for four years while obtaining her undergraduate degree and this provided many unique educational and travel experiences enhancing her cultural awareness. She also completed her work study in Thailand, further enriching her cultural exposure. Rochester is vastly diverse, and her international experience has furnished her cultural knowledge in ways that equip her to better understand clients from diverse backgrounds. Aside from her cultural knowledge she also has experience working with LGBTQIA2S+ youth both professionally and as a former foster care provider.

Janneu’s primary goal is to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment structured around the client and their goals.
